Payne Skate Park Gets Cool With Madico Window Film

Suncoast Window Films recently finished a solar control project at the concession and gift shop in downtown Sarasota. The City of Sarasota chose our team for Payne Skate Park window tinting to cut glare, block heat, and make the space more comfortable for staff and visitors.

We installed 307 square feet of Madico Optivision Reflective 15 window film at the Payne Skate Park concession and gift shop in Sarasota. This upgrade reduced interior heat and glare by up to 78%, protected merchandise from UV damage, and made the facility more comfortable and energy-efficient.

The skate park, just east of downtown Sarasota, draws athletes, families, and spectators all year. The concession and gift shop has large windows and doors that give a great view of the park. However, these windows also let in a lot of heat and glare. Staff found it hard to stay cool, and the strong Florida sun threatened to fade the shop’s merchandise.

To fix this, the City of Sarasota worked with us to upgrade the window tinting at Payne Skate Park. We installed Madico Optivision Reflective 15 on six windows and two doors, covering 22 glass panes and 307 square feet with solar control film where it was needed most.

Madico designed this dual-reflective film for strong solar performance. The reflective outside blocks harsh sunlight, while the softer inside lets staff easily see out to the park.
